Hunter & Cole traces its origin to the firm first established in 1954 by Warren H. Young who later served as Judge of the United States District Court on St. Croix. Since its founding the firm has maintained its offices on the Third Floor of the Pentheny Building (constructed in 1849) in the heart of the Christiansted Historic District.
