Richard H. Hunter was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on July14, 1951. He graduated cum laude from Amherst College in 1973 and received his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1976. Mr. Hunter began his legal career in the Virgin Islands as the law clerk to two distinguished judges of the Territorial Court, the Hon. Louis Hoffman (1976) and the Hon. Henry L. Feuerzeig (1977). He joined the firm in1978 and became partner in 1982. Mr. Hunter served as Chairman of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the Virgin Islands Bar Association(1983-1988) and was President of the Virgin Islands Bar Association in 1995. He is a member of the bars of the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia and is admitted to practice before the United State Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United State Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
